lower our stress levels and create more aliveness and ease in body, breath and being.’
In our Movement Sessions we use Somatic Yoga, Breathwork and Somatic Movement to:
- create a deeper connection to your body
- find more mobility and space in your body
- explore new ways of movement
- release stress and tension
- optimize the quality of your breath
All our Sessions are available to all levels and EVERY BODY.
Because every body is different and has different needs, we use a somatic approach which is more about ‘how it feels’ then ‘what it looks like’.
We offer group and private sessions in Utrecht and organize retreats in the Netherlands and in Portugal.
At the Movement Sessions we passionately believe in the importance of movement. The universe itself, the earth and all living things on it are in a constant state of movement. Throughout evolution movement has made it possible for us to evolve, to feel alive, to move through the different stages of life and to move towards our full human potential.
In our Movement Sessions we invite you to bring movement to different layers of your being. To reconnect to your body and to be able to listen to its wisdom and needs. Focusing mostly on bringing awareness into our stress and release levels, we encourage the body’s regenerative capacity to bring us back to a state of balance and growth. We love to see our physical bodies as different landscapes with all kind of pathways moving through it. Each of us with its own unique landscape and its own unique bodystory. Our landscapes will change, adapt and respond to life around us, reflecting in a dance between stress and release. By exploring different pathways through movement and breath we invite you to get to know the stories that are living inside of your body. Redecorating our landscapes by letting go of the stress and tension that doesn’t serve us anymore while inviting softness, relaxation and space to support us to move through life with ease.
The Movement Sessions was created by Melissa Ransdorp and Lotte Willemsma:

For Lotte, dance is a way to express what lives inside her, a way to make contact with herself and others. This connection with dance was reason for her to train at the dance academy and to study dance and movement therapy afterwards. She is increasingly deepening herself in trauma processing, using EMDR, Breathwork and Somatic Experiencing in addition to using the body.
Moving with awareness is an important element for Lotte in her sessions as well as in her own practice. She has studied hatha yoga, yin yoga and is interested in body connections and how to optimize them again.
With all the knowledge that she gained from other workshops in the past years, she brings a lot of energy and joy with her, which she will combine with a deep grounding in her work and movements
For Melissa dancing and movement have been a way to explore herself and the world around here. With extensive training in different dancestyles and movement techniques, various styles of yoga and breathwork, she combines movement and breath and explores the language of the body and the awareness of the mind.
Trained in TRE (a body oriented method to release stored tension and trauma from the physical body) and working as a certified Breathcoach, Melissa will invite you to dive even deeper and shed those layers that no longer serve you.
She will take you on a journey with a lot of enthusiasm and playfulness and will guide you towards a deeper connection with yourself.
