‘All life starts
with movement.
Without movement
there is no life’
The Movement Sessions provides a space to dive deep into the importance of movement. A space where we can explore, research, get a deeper understanding of our bodies and bring our bodies to life through movement and breath.
The Movement Sessions was created by Melissa Ransdorp and Lotte Willemsma through their mutual love and curiosity for movement in all its facets.
“In our sessions and retreats we explore different movement and breathwork techniques to slow down, lower our stress levels and create more aliveness and ease in body, breath and being.”

2024
January 26 – 28
Kura Waka,
Roodeschool – Groningen
In this Winter weekend we will dive into different approaches and techniques to bring more understanding to how the body relates to stress and how stress relates to your breath. We will work with Breathwork, Somatic Movement (a gentle approach to movement to raise body awareness), Breathwork, Fascia Release and Yin Yoga to provide you the practical tools to release tension in the body and bring our nervous systems back in a state of balance. Easy to use movements and methods that can help you on a daily basis to release the stress that we have been storing inside. Leading to more range of motion in the body, less tightness and discomfort, feeling more grounded and relaxed and activating the selfhealing capacity of the body.
On Sunday Michaela van der Meer (owner of Kura Waka) will guide us in a traditional Sweatlodge Ceremony. A Sweatlodge is a perfect place to shed those old layers that no longer serve us, to release old emotions, to connect to ourselves and all that is living inside of us and to experience a deep connection to our Mother Earth.
Combining all of this, this weekend will be grounded and transformational! Will you join us on this journey?
