Essential Anatomy
We’ll explore relevant aspects of human anatomy in a clear and digestible way, focusing on how the body moves and functions in a yoga or movement context. You’ll gain insight into the major muscle groups, joints, and connective tissues, and how they interact in both static postures and dynamic transitions.
Functional Movement Perspectives
Rather than teaching from a one-size-fits-all approach, we’ll introduce principles of functional movement that honor the uniqueness of each body. You’ll learn to recognize individual variations in alignment and range of motion, and how to adapt your practice to support healthy, sustainable postures for a diverse range of bodies.
Practical Tools for Design your Classes
We’ll offer hands-on strategies to help you design self- or groupclasses that are grounded in both anatomical understanding and embodied experience. Through structured frameworks and creative inspiration, you’ll learn how to build sequences with clarity, intention, and adaptability—so that your classes not only feel good but also serve a meaningful purpose for those you guide.
Stress Release & Nervous System Support
Alongside the educational components, we’ll carve out space for practices that support deep rest and regulation. Through Yin Yoga and fascia release, you’ll explore how the body holds tension—and how, with patience and presence, it can begin to let go. We’ll share information to nourish the nervous system, promote resilience, and offer tools you can integrate into your teaching to support others in managing stress and cultivating a sense of inner calm.
You will receive a reader with all the key information we’ll cover,
and between training days we’ll offer suggested readings and simple assignments to help integrate what you’re learning.
