Land of Deveza
Land of Deveza is a unique, family owned retreat centre where Giel, Karin, Maká and Sjakie (their sweet dogs) will be our hosts. They are amazing at making you feel right at home, to attend all of your needs and to make sure that you enjoy your time at Deveza to the fullest! Besides working with wood and construction, Giel has been passionate about food and cooking all his life, has lots of experience and will be our private Chef for this week.
Deveza means “protected land” and is part of a nature reserve in São Pedro do Sul in Central Portugal. Its 3,5 hectares of land is filled with 1100 vines and lots of fruit trees; oranges, lemons, cherries, kiwi, apples, pears, olives and apricots. It has its own water wells and a swimmingpool for hot days. Together with family, friends and volunteers, Giel renovated the original Lemon Tree House, build two Tiny Houses, a Glamping area and a beautiful Yoga Shala with a breathtaking view over de mountaintops.

The Lemontree House
1495,- euro | Private Room in Lemon Tree House
The Lemontree House is one of the original buildings of Land of Deveza. Owner Giel reconstructed this rustic structure completely and turned it in to an amazing guesthouse with separate bedrooms, a fully equiped kitchen and a beautiful spacious livingroom. The Lemontree House has 4 private rooms and a shared bathroom.
Tiny House

(there is a max. of 3 pers. in every Tiny House)
There are two Tiny Houses which are build with eco-friendly materials and will give you a unique experience of living in and with nature. The cosy space has a practical layout and is equipped with a bunkbed and a double bed that can be closed by a sliding door. Including a small kitchen, shower and toilet, the Tiny House is a perfect place to come home to. Every Tiny House has 1 cosy bunkbed and 1 double bed.
– Tiny House ‘The Woods’ – surrounded by nature and including an outside bathtub
– Tiny House ‘Laranja’ – the newest Tiny House on the property on the orange tree terrace with lots of sun

Glamping Tent

More of an outdoors type? Then we have the perfect option for you. There are two luxurious glamping tents in between the vineyards, surrounded by the lush greens of the forest. Fully connected to nature with an outdoor toilet, shower and kitchen!
